Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the KidNeara iOS application and related services ("KidNeara"). By creating an account or using KidNeara, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility — adults only

You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian of the children you add to your profile.
Children may not create accounts, sign in, or use KidNeara. Do not use KidNeara to contact children.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account secure.

2. What KidNeara is (and is not)

KidNeara is a tool that helps parents discover nearby families with shared interests and arrange real-world meetups. KidNeara does not run, host, supervise, or endorse any meetup, and does not perform background checks on users.

Safety disclaimer: All real-world meetups are organized and supervised by parents. You are solely responsible for every offline event you host or attend, including deciding whether another family is a good fit, choosing a safe public location, and supervising your own children at all times. KidNeara is not responsible for offline events.

3. Community rules

You agree not to:

misrepresent yourself, your children, or your relationship to a child;
use KidNeara for any purpose other than arranging parent-supervised meetups — including dating, commercial promotion, or solicitation;
harass, threaten, or abuse other users, or post unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit content;
attempt to contact a child, request photos of children, or ask for information that could identify or locate a child (such as a school name or home address);
share another user's precise meetup location or private messages outside the app;
scrape, probe, or interfere with the service or its security rules.

Use the in-app Report and Block tools to flag unsafe behavior. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create unsafe situations, at our sole discretion.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you post (profiles, listings, messages, photos). You grant KidNeara a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and transmit that content solely to operate the service. You represent that you have the right to share any photo you upload, including photos of your children.

5. Free tier and KidNeara Plus

Free accounts may add up to 2 child profiles, create up to 2 activities per month, and browse a radius of roughly 8 miles.
KidNeara Plus is an auto-renewing subscription — $7.99 per month or $59.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial — offering unlimited child profiles and activities, an expanded ~25 mile radius, group chat, and featured placement.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings. Unused trial time is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Prices may change; we will provide notice as required by Apple's policies before any change affects you.

6. Termination

You may stop using KidNeara at any time and may permanently delete your account and data in Profile → Delete my account and data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, harm other users, or create legal exposure. Sections 4 and 7–9 survive termination.

7. Disclaimers

KidNeara is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that other users are who they claim to be, that meetups will be safe or satisfactory, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KidNeara and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss or injury arising out of any offline meetup or the conduct of any user. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, unless applicable law gives you the right to a different venue.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms here and update the effective date; material changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use KidNeara after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
